1. What technical support is provided by softelec?

VP software is known to be very reliable, so you're not likely going to have much interaction with our support department. If you have a software maintenance contract, softelec provides telephone technical support on all current version products. Telephone support is available from 9:30am to 5:30pm (CET), or you may use fax or e-mail. We may ask you to upload a problem image drawing file to our FTP site for evaluation.

Annual software upgrade support and maintenance is provided at reasonable fees. Free patches and updates are noted on our web site, so keep it bookmarked and visit often.

2. Do I need training?


VP software comes with an online help system, a detailed tutorial, and a full documentation manual. The tutorial will get you up and running in short time. A background in CAD operations is a big plus. However, the more diverse your drawings are (especially old, deteriorated ones), your learning curve may take a bit longer. Softelec and its Distributors offer VP software training that will up-lift your productivity. Importantly, you'll get to learn from an instructor in one to three days what could take you weeks of learning on a trial-and-error basis.
